On a warm day, nearing the end of August, Mallory and Dustin were wed. It was beautiful! Not only was the wedding beautiful (and they sure are a beautiful couple), but they are beautiful, caring, and loving people. They show how much they care for each other by being thrilled simply by being with one another. And they show that they care for others by asking thoughtful questions, and not being too busy to hand out a compliment.
At the end of the evening, as I was saying my good-bye to Mallory and Dustin, Dustin began telling me what an amazing job I had done, how much they loved their engagement pictures, and how great I was the whole wedding day. This isn’t to brag on myself, but on Dustin and Mallory. He was not too busy to say a kind word, and he said it with such caring and authenticity that he made me close to tears. So many days we work at our jobs without confirmation of a job well done, and this means we also all need to take the time to tell someone that they have done well.
Mallory and Dustin, you did well. Your wedding was stunning (no detail went untouched), your ceremony was emotionally beautiful, and your love for each other is one that will stand the test of time. Congratulations!
